The VS Series focuses on the lives of vampires in a city where, all things considered, vampires aren’t necessarily the worst thing out there. They exist quite contentedly amongst the unrelated crime and violence to cover up their own misdemeanours.

Amidst constant attacks from the city’s vampire executioners known only as the “Slayers”, the vampires struggle to keep their identities and business secret, and some even battle their primal urge to feast on the blood of the living. But most don’t bother.

For Catrina Malinka, the latest addition to the vampire community, things are already quite complicated. Not only does she learn that her sole purpose in this new life is to be sacrificed to an old god, but she may also have inadvertently stolen his power.
